Children NGOs – for quality education

Indian education system is one of the oldest systems of the world. Over the centuries, it has undergone many changes. There are several factors which influenced the education system of India such as the economic policies, population of the country, development of the country, literacy rate, policies, acts, poverty etc. For any country to prosper, proper literacy rate and education system is quite necessary. Since Independence, many policies and acts have been implemented for better education. However, apart from the government educational institutions, there are many Children NGOs in India which provide educational facilities to the poor and needy section of the children.

Free education in India is provided by various non-profit organizations and government institutions. But most of the government schools in India lack proper amenities and infrastructure. This is the reason why many students drop out each year. However, it is the work of several NGOs that has shown encouraging results in the child education’s sector. Their contribution to the field of education is remarkable.

Today, one can find several NGOs which provide quality education for slum children. Usually, these children who live in slums work as child labor in factories or at construction sites. Though it is the fundamental right of every child to go to a school, these children are forced to work for various reasons. Their economic conditions and improper implementation of laws in the country contribute to the low literacy rate among this section. Proper implementation of laws and policies by government would change the fate of such children.
